BIM maturity model for higher education institutions

Abstrac The literature presents several BIM maturity models for projects, organizations and individuals. However, there is still a gap in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Consequently, an absence of studies that measure the those institutions. Thus, present study aims at (i) matrix model HEIs; (ii) perform measurement HEIs state Ceará, Brazil. developed structured into three fields (Policies, Processes Technology), through 16 criteria divided five levels. This research analyzed 26 courses Civil Engineering as well Architecture Urbanism, both public private HEIs, therefore obtaining Degree Maturity, Maturity Index, characteristics use. As contribution, presents: theoretical contribution proposal allowing other institutions to their performance; characterization barriers its adoption, uses disciplines; (iii) HEIs' maturity. Ceará allowed overview them, becoming part macro-diagnostic sector.
